RCSCC Dundas Celebrates Its 81st Annual Inspection
On a sunny Saturday afternoon, RCSCC Dundas proudly marked its 81st Annual Ceremonial Review—a milestone that celebrates tradition, discipline, and the incredible youth who make up our vibrant corps. The event brought together cadets, officers, families, supporters, and distinguished guests in a ceremony filled with pride, precision, and community spirit. This year’s inspection was especially meaningful, as we were honoured to welcome Lieutenant Commander (Ret’d) Walt Dermott as our Reviewing Officer. LCdr (Ret'd) Dermott brought with him a wealth of naval experience and leadership, and his encouraging words and personal connection to the program resonated deeply with our cadets and officers alike. His presence reminded us of the long-standing legacy and professionalism that continues to shape Sea Cadet training. We were also privileged to have City of Hamilton Councillor Alex Wilson join us in celebrating our cadets. Councillor Wilson’s ongoing support and commitment to youth programs in the city reflects the kind of community partnership that helps our corps thrive. Their encouragement, recognition, and time spent engaging with our cadets meant so much to all in attendance. Of course, no event like this would be possible without the unwavering dedication and support of those working tirelessly behind the scenes. A heartfelt thank you goes out to our Friends of Dundas, the parents and families who stand behind our cadets, and our incredible Navy League Branch. Your support ensures that RCSCC Dundas remains strong, active, and able to offer meaningful training and experiences to youth in our community. Quite simply, without you, we wouldn't have the unit we are so proud to call ours today. The 81st Annual Inspection served not just as a formal review of cadet progress and training, but as a celebration of our corps’ enduring values—leadership, citizenship, and service. We are immensely proud of everything our cadets have achieved this training year and look forward to continuing our journey into year 82 and beyond. Bravo Zulu to all who helped make this day so special!
