The 2025 training year is officially underway, and the officers and staff of 96 Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corps Dundas couldn’t be more excited to see our ship’s company back in action! After a well-deserved summer break, our cadets have returned with great energy, enthusiasm, and a strong sense of teamwork — ready to take on another year of training, growth, and adventure.
🌊 A Strong Start to the YearWe’ve already hit the ground running with some incredible experiences. One of the highlights so far was the Brigs Tall Ships event in Hamilton, Ontario, where our cadets had the unique opportunity to explore and learn about Canada’s maritime heritage up close. Being aboard such impressive vessels inspired many of our cadets and reminded us all of the proud naval traditions we continue to uphold as Sea Cadets. Events like these not only give our cadets hands-on experiences but also strengthen their leadership, seamanship, and camaraderie — all core values of the Cadet Program. ❄️ Looking Ahead – Biathlon and BeyondAs the weather cools, we’re turning our attention to the next exciting challenge on the horizon: the Area Biathlon Competition. Our cadets have been training hard to prepare for this demanding event, which combines cross-country skiing and marksmanship — a true test of endurance, focus, and teamwork. We can’t wait to see our team represent 96 Dundas with pride and determination! ⚓ Join the AdventureThere’s so much more to come this year — from community service projects to naval training, citizenship activities, and leadership opportunities. Whether you’re a returning cadet, a new recruit, or a member of our supportive community, we’re looking forward to sharing another incredible year of learning, leadership, and fun. Fair winds and following seas, 96 RCSCC Dundas Ready, Aye, Ready!
